A striking vintage brass decorative wall plate, richly embossed with a central medallion of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor (1619–1637), depicted on horseback with Latin inscription. The wide rim is adorned with detailed battle and knightly scenes in high relief, giving the piece a dramatic historic style.
The plate has developed a natural aged patina, with areas of green verdigris highlighting the detail. Likely made in Germany or Austria in the late 19th to early 20th century as part of the Renaissance revival decorative arts movement.
